I am a child of God, wife of one, mom of two. I educated my children from birth through commencement. Now that they have launched into adulthood, I have more time to reflect and explore.

I enjoy learning new things and sharing what I have learned with others through writing and teaching. Because I loved helping moms overcome their fear of firearms, I became a certified firearms instructor and now teach groups and individuals how to shoot. I continue to be involved in the homeschool community by leading a hiking group and participating in a living history camp. Occasionally I also teach classes on other topics I have explored.

My interests are quite varied: from firearms to food fermentation, home education to hiking, spinning and sewing to studying the classics and the US Constitution, and more. A friend once gave me a card addressed to “My gun-totin’ hippy friend.” Haha! That is probably pretty accurate. While the topics I share here may seem disconnected at first, they do all intersect – often in surprising ways.

Most importantly, I try to view everything through the lens of Christ, taking every thought captive and transforming my mind through the power of His word.
